ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Tess Carcaldi, a 22-year-old recent college graduate trying to navigate my way through adulting and life in general through writing.

For those of you who have followed my blog since it began in the fall of 2017, you’d know it’s been transformed from a travel blog back when I studied abroad in Florence, Italy to my former alias, that girl with glasses, to what it is now: fearlessly and unapologetically me.

Since I’ve decided to simply represent myself on this platform as, well, myself, I’m not going to pigeonhole my blog into one category because I am not one personality. I like to think of myself as a mosaic of personalities, with different colors and shapes depending on where you look and how the light shines on it, but colors and shapes that are never hidden.

One of my favorite quotes (as displayed on my homepage) is “I am, I am, I am” from The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. It stands as a reminder to Esther Greenwood that she is alive, she exists, and she is herself. And that is exactly what I want to capture on this blog.

So, who the hell knows what will flow out of my mind to punch the keys of my keyboard? But, I hope you decide to join this crazy journey with me and find out.
